Alice Foundation

Alice  Foundation is a non- governmental, non-profit organization founded by  Mrs Alice Dosi Mwamsojo  Who is a designer, marketer  and a social worker, in early  2011 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The main goal of the organization is to improve the life standard of women, children through promoting them to access to education, health service: adolescent and sexual reproductive, maternal and infant, and capacity building for economic empowerment.

Despite Tanzania country efforts to improve socio economic status of people still poverty remain a major challenge especially for the majority of women and children living in the rural part of Tanzania. They lack access to education, preventive and curative sexual reproductive and maternal and infant health services and financial and technical assistance for socio-economic and professional advancement.

As a result, they become vulnerable to chronic poverty indicated by high maternal and infant deaths, early pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections including HIV and AIDS and income poverty.

Alice Foundation is not there to compete but to work with   other NGOs that serve the interests of women and children. The Foundation has a strategic plan to make significant contributions to Tanzanian women and their families through working closely with the government and donors.

Alice Foundation’s overall objective is to improve social and economic advancement of street children in Tanzania by increasing access to education, and for women maternal, newborn health and sexual reproductive health services including HIV and AIDS.

Vision
Alice Foundation envisions is to increase the number of economically empowered women, progressive communities with well educated children free from ignorance, disease and poverty.
 Mission
Alice Foundation’s mission is to empower women, Build a better nation free from ignorance, diseases and poverty.
